LVRC (Las Vegas Radio Control) turned 50 years old in May 2008! As a Gold Leader Club, LVRC hosts a number of RC events in the the great destination city of Las Vegas. Check out our Calendar Page for more information on upcoming events.

Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at the Skyline Casino, 1741 N. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Check our the links above directions to the Skyline Casino, flying, field, local hobby shops and more!

Our primary flying field is the William Bennett RC Airfield located on the eastern edge of the Las Vegas Valley, just north of Sam Boyd Stadium. This premiere facility has a great history of RC contests and exhibitions, and is a Clark County park facility. Bennett field is open to all RC aircraft pilots who possess a valid AMA Membership.

The field is open 365 days a year, weather permitting, and flying is permissible from 7:00 AM till dusk. Of course, visitors are always welcome and ample bleacher seating is available to see what’s going on. LVRC has a secondary field located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Hemenway Harbor. This field offers spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Message from the President

Our club is growing, and we are excited with all of the activities and programs LVRC offers. We have just completed our first ever Swap Meeting and Fun Fly with RC Palooza 2012! More than 30 swap meeting spaces were reserved and hundreds of visitors showed up for bargain shopping and fun flying!

Last month saw our Fabulous Las Vegas Helicopter Fun Fly enjoy some of the largest crowds we've ever had at the field! We've just scheduled an IMAC competition for next Fall, and of course, our annual Jet Rally is also scheduled for Fall of 2012.

Between our monthly trainer days and other special events such as our night flys, there is always sometime to do with LVRC. If you haven't been to a club meeting, come on out to Skyline Casino on the third Thursday of the month and join us at 7 p.m. (optional dinner is at 6:00 p.m.)
